The point was that there was no real concept. The vibe in this tiny backstage with all this people was just to perfect. With all the smoke, this one moody room light and everybody trapping, the job was done on its own. I just positioned everybody against this one room light and gave the manager my phone so he could flash with two cameras from the front. The limitations really defined the result.
I don’t think that they actually planned this video otherwise they probably would have brought their own filmer. So the whole thing was unplanned for me as well obviously. I was just about to film this concert, chilling somewhere when the manager came to me and asked if I maybe could film some takes of them in the backstage. Slowly I understood that they wanted to film to a song and one I never heard before, so maybe even an unreleased one. They just told me to film, not more, so I quickly optimized all the things that were possible and after a few spontaneous variations it was done.
The post-production was made from Leonel Alfonso after I was already back in Zurich. He transformed my editing sketch into the great final result, after I sent him the whole thing. Thx to Emmanuel the Manager that conducted the hole thing!
